The Sport and Recreation Alliance Sports Club of the Year Awards have been running for 20 years and have now been renamed the Community Sport and Recreation Awards to embrace the wealth of recreational organisations and bodies that perform excellent work in their local communities.

There are several categories of award, designed to highlight the breadth of work that is undertaken in the community sport and recreation sector.

Awards will be presented for:

Community Sport + Recreation Overall Winner – £2,000
Volunteer Management – £1,000
School Links – £1,000
Professional Club Community Programme of the Year Award – £1,000
Green Thinking – 1,000
Innovative Project Award – £1,000

The Sport and Recreation Alliance is encouraging its members, the national governing and representative bodies of sport and recreation, and the County Sports Partnerships, to each endorse and nominate up to three of their clubs or member organisations for these awards.

The Sport and Recreation Alliancee are keen to encourage applications from all types of sport and recreation organisations in order to reflect the diversity of our membership, and from organisations that are open to all ages and abilities.

On completion Clubs will need to send the nomination form to the EIBA Ltd c/o Peter Thompson - Chief Executive for endorsement.
