Bowls Big Weekend Club Helpers Workshop - Tuesday 16th May
- 6pm and Thursday 18th May - 10am
This workshop aims to
provide you with hints and tips on how to structure the first
session for new people attending your Bowls Big Weekend Open Day,
whilst providing a process for all club volunteers (members) to
follow when meeting and greeting new people on their first visit to
your club. It will give you practical ideas that keep the session
fun and engaging for people trying the sport for the first time as
well as ideas to ensure new bowlers come back for a second visit.
Play Bowls Platform and Bowls Bash Awareness Workshop
- Monday 15th May - 6pm, Wednesday 17th May - 10am and Friday 19th
May - 1pm
The workshop aims to give your club an
understanding of the Play Bowls Platform and the benefits it
provides. The platform gives clubs an opportunity to increase
participation on their greens as well as increasing revenue and the
potential to recruit new members whilst advertising the facilities
at the club. Bowls Bash is a great introductory format of the game
for new players which provides a fun, exciting way to play our sport
with more points on offer and is a short introduction to bowls based
on external research.
Club Health Checker Awareness
Workshop - Monday 15th May - 10am, Tuesday 16th May - 1pm
and Thursday 18th May - 6pm
This workshop aims to give you an
overview of how to use the Club Health Checker and the benefits it
provides. You will gain an understanding as to why you should use
the tool annually, who should complete it, what questions it covers
and an understanding of the report produced at the end based on the
answers given. This tool is being seen as a fantastic opportunity to
identify the key development areas of focus within your club and
provides a range of accessible opportunities to assist where
required.
There are also several online training modules
and quick guides which you can undertake in your own time and at
your own pace via our Education platform so please take time to see
what is available for the benefit of your club or individual
learning.
We look forward to seeing you.
