BRITISH ISLES INDOOR BOWLS COUNCIL STATEMENT
Following a meeting of the British Isles
Indoor Bowls Council's (BIIBC) Executive Committee held on Tuesday
4th January 2022, a decision was made to postpone all the scheduled
International events due to be held in February and March 2022.
This decision was arrived at due to the increasing numbers of
Omicron Variant Covid 19 cases within the U.K and the current
restrictions put in place by the devolved Governments regarding
participation and spectator numbers permitted at indoor events.
It is the intention of the BIIBC to reschedule all events for
October 2022 and a full revised calendar of events will be published
as soon as possible.
The BIIBC apologise for any
inconvenience this decision may cause, however the safety and
welfare of all our players, officials and spectators must come first
in any decision making process.
Further updates will be
posted on the BIIBC website
www.biibc.org.uk, should you require any further
information please contact David Phillips, BIIBC Chief Executive
Officer.
