ATHERLEY & LIBERTY TROPHY INTER-COUNTY
Following statements made at last night's
Government's press conference and the increasing cases of Covid, the
EIBA has agreed, due to the number of players involved, that any
County due to play in the Atherley and Liberty Trophy this weekend
can in consultation with their opponent postpone the game. This is
done on the proviso that both this round and the next round, due to
be played on 15th January, are played BEFORE 4th March 2022.
Counties wishing to continue to play this weekend can do so as
arranged. In this case we would remind the teams: -
Face
coverings will be legally required to be worn by your players and
officers when they enter and move around the venue. The face
covering can be removed, if so wished, when they are on the green
playing or when having a drink and or meal.
Also, to remind
you that we have reviewed the Dress Code for National Team
Championship matches for the early rounds to allow the team to wear
grey trousers to avoid using the changing rooms.
If your
players are car sharing, this is permitted but advise is that all
wear a face covering and that windows are open.
If a private
coach has been hired, then all passengers will need to wear a face
covering throughout the journey.

This decision has been reached with the health
and safety of bowlers in mind.
