Players from across the region and from almost all of the disability groups
came along to enjoy a day of bowls and socialising. There were players with
physical disability, visual impairment, cerebral palsy, deaf, parkinson’s
disease & learning difficulties - a great representation of what Disability
Bowls England is all about.
6 people came along to try bowls for the
first time including a person deaf, another profoundly deaf and a third
totally blind.
All 3 enjoyed enjoyed the experience and have since made
contact with us asking for help in finding suitable clubs in their area.

Club members, along with coaches, helpers, carers and families were impressed by the standard of
play and gave all the players a lot of encouragement. A big well done to
the club, coaches, helpers and most importantly the players – what a great
day.
