EIBA AND BRITISH EUROSPORT
AGREE BROADCAST PARTNERSHIP

The English Indoor Bowling Association and British Eurosport have agreed a major broadcast partnership for 2014.

The partnership will see the EIBA’s exciting and shorter format competition, The Premier Threes, and England Test Matches against other home nations being shown exclusively live on British Eurosport.

British Eurosport is available on BT TV, SKY and Virgin Media platforms as well as through Eurosport player on PCs and smart phones / tablets.

In announcing the partnership Peter Thompson, Chief Executive of the EIBA, said “We are delighted to be working with British Eurosport this year. The broadcast coverage they bring will enable our players to get the exposure they deserve whilst also showcasing the sport to a far wider audience than ever before. This will introduce Indoor Bowls to new audiences and encourage them to become involved in the sport.”

David Kerr, Managing Director of British Eurosport added “We are looking forward to covering indoor bowls again on the channel. Our deal with the EIBA gives us access to some great events and their 100,000 strong membership. There is a sizeable community of bowls fans out there and we hope those existing bowls fans enjoy the comprehensive live coverage and that through that we can bring new fans to the sport”.

The first live coverage will be on Wednesday 9th April 2014 with the first qualifying group stage of the 2014 Premier Threes Competition.
