4th October 2012EIBA LTD SECURE PREMIER THREES AGREEMENTThe EIBA Ltd has today reached an agreement with Premier Threes Bowls Ltd to promote and develop the Premier Threes format for the next three years (2013 to 2015).Premier Threes is a dynamic format which sees players play 3 bowls over 3 sets of 3 ends and if a tie break is required then a 1 bowl shoot out will take place. This format will be short and sharp and games will last between 20 to 45 minutes. EIBA Ltd played an integral role in the formation of Premier Threes in 2010 at the request of the Premier Threes founders John Byrne, Erewash IBC and Danny Brown, Lincoln IBC. This involvement became a watching brief as Premier Threes Bowls developed the format over the last two years. The EIBA recognised that the sport of Indoor Bowls has a product which can be used to promote the game to wider audiences and encourage more people to play the sport and therefore entered into discussions and agreement with John Byrne and Danny Brown to take this forward. In announcing this new initiative Peter Thompson, Chief Executive of EIBA Ltd, said “we are very excited about this competition as it will bring a shorter and faster version of the game with plenty of excitement which we are sure all sports fans will enjoy”.
