BOWLS
Objection to bowls
(i) A challenge may be lodged by any opposing player and/or by the official umpire and/or Controlling Body. If the person making the challenge is an opponent or the Manager in a side game, they should pay a deposit, as determined by the Member National Authority, to the Umpire or Controlling Body for the amount decided each year by the Controlling Body.

STARTING THE GAME
Play in subsequent ends
In all ends subsequent to the first, apart from on an extra end, the winner of the preceding scoring end shall [delete - have the option to either take the mat and have the jack and first bowl, or allow the opponent to] have the mat, jack and first bowl.

IMPROPER DELIVERY OF THE JACK
(i) Should the jack in any end be improperly delivered, as set out in Law 18B, because it comes to rest in the ditch, or wholly outside the boundary of the rink, or it comes to rest at less than 23 metres in a straight line from the mat line, it shall be returned and the opposing player shall deliver the jack, ensuring that it is centred, but shall not play first.

BOWL DISPLACEMENT
Displacement by a rebounding non-toucher
(i) of a bowl in its original course
A bowl displaced by a non-toucher rebounding from the bank shall be placed by an opponent or the marker in singles, where they believe it would have come to rest.
