New Modules released!
Following the immense
success of the ‘Adult Safeguarding in Bowls’ module, Coach Bowls are
delighted to announce that they are now able to offer two further
modules for online delivery.
Basic Safeguarding Children and
Young People in Bowls
This is a two hour module which covers
the basics of Safeguarding Children and Young People. It will cost
£20 and you will get additional resources and a certificate
following your attendance.
This module is a must for all club
volunteers and coaches that have children and young people in their
club and want to ensure that their club is welcoming and safe.
‘Time to Listen’ - Safeguarding in Bowls
This is
a Three hour module (not including breaks) that can be delivered in
three sections if required. It costs £35 and you will get additional
resources and a certificate following your attendance. This
module is designed for Club Safeguarding / Welfare Officers* and
will support you and your club to safeguard and protect children.
You have a vital role as the Club Safeguarding/Welfare Officer in
supporting your club to achieve their safeguarding aims and this
module helps with that role.
*You must have completed the
‘Basic Safeguarding Children and Young People in Bowls’ module, or a
recognised equivalent to attend this module*
Adult
Safeguarding
This course will provide an ideal opportunity
for all bowlers to increase their knowledge of safeguarding from the
comfort of their own home. It will be delivered via a virtual
classroom – with full interaction with the tutor and the other
people attending the course throughout.
Who should attend?
This module is aimed at those individuals who have the
responsibility to ensure their club is a safe place to play.
This is primarily the module for Club Safeguarding
Officers/Volunteers to attend but also active coaches and other club
members who would like to support the Club Safeguarding Officer in
their role.
What is the focus of the module? This module
is aimed at those clubs who have adult only members.
What
does it cover? • Provides an understanding of what safeguarding
is and your role in safeguarding adults at risk in your club •
Helps to recognise signs of abuse and neglect of members •
Provides understanding on how to act upon a concern or a disclosure
• Raises awareness of relevant legislation and policies • Tells
you what support is available to you
