The Junior section should be an integral part of the membership and is fundamental to the future health of the indoor bowling club.

It is essential that clubs adopt good practice when dealing with young people and ensure that their safety is paramount.

English Bowls Youth Development Scheme (EBYDS) ebyds-logo
The EBYDS was introduced to provide a pathway to enable children and young people to participate in the Sport of Bowls and to develop their potential to whatever appropriate level they so wish.

The Scheme provides a series of County Invitation Singles events followed by Regionals finals leading to the National Finals.

This competitions is Open to all young bowlers who have not attained the age of 18 years on or by 30th September 2019.
The competition will be run in two sections: -
• Juniors who have attained the age of 8 years but not 14 years on or by 30th September 2019.
• Seniors who have attained the age of 14 years but not 18 years on or by 30th September 2019.

During the event all of the players will participate in a series of matches and skills tests to determine the winners, see below for more details.
