Coach Bowls

David Turner, a Great Britain and England Coach for the javelin throw and resident javelin coach at Loughborough University will be leading the “Working with Children & Young People” workshop at the Coaching-Making A Positive Difference conference to be held on 22nd March 2018 at the Woodland Grange Hotel in Leamington Spa.

David has co-authored several books on coaching children including “First Steps into Coaching”, “Coaching Children 5-12” and “How to Coach the Fundamentals of Movement”

David is passionate about coaching children and young people in a developmentally appropriate way throughout their sporting life and is a huge advocate of the “Youth Physical Development Model”

The highlight of his coaching career to date came in July 2017 when David coached Hollie Arnold to a gold medal and a world record for javelin at the IPC World Para-athletics Championships in London
We are delighted that David will be leading the workshop.
