The BDA are delighted to announce the launch of their 2013-2017 plan “Growing the Sport
of Bowls” for the development of bowls in the 55+ population. The launch evening will be held at the National Championships, on 13th February at
Northampton & District IBC, commencing at 7pm. Given that many competitors will have travelled from the length & breadth of the Country to participate
and spectate, this offers the opportunity for many bowlers to learn about what is on offer and feed this information back through their clubs.

The BDA were recently awarded £2 million in funding to deliver their development plan for the next 4 years commencing in April 2013. The launch
night will give us the perfect platform to communicate the detail of our plan to the attending clubs and members.
The key areas covered at the launch night will be as follows:
• A review of the BDA’s 09-13 period
• An overview of the BDA’s 13-17 development plan
• An explanation of the funding opportunities available to clubs across the next 4 years
• A “how to” guide to applying for BDA funding
• Changes to the Club Mark accreditation and what this means for bowling clubs
• How the BDA’s 13-17 plan works alongside the Bowls England and EIBA Ltd strategies
• Question and answer session involving all speakers
It is important that as many clubs as possible are represented at the launch night to take advantage of this interactive evening which will lay out the funding opportunities
over the next 4 years as well as the recruitment strategies of the BDA, Bowls England and EIBA Ltd.
After the launch night, every club in the country will receive a copy of this information from the BDA.
